Carolyn Lee (Cook) Jacobson

September 30, 1942 ~ September 29, 2017 (age 74) 74 Years Old

Carolyn Lee Jacobson, 74, of Prineville, Ore.  joined our heavenly father on September 29, 2017.  Carolyn was a child of God and Baptized on August 24, 2008 at Missionary Baptist Church of Prineville, Ore. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Missionary Baptist Church in Prineville, Ore. On October 7, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with a luncheon to follow. Our hearts trust we will see our wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend again.

Carolyn was born on September 30, 1942 to Clarence and Ruth Cook of Milwaukie, Ore. She lived her childhood in Gresham, Ore. and attended Gresham High School. During her teenager years, she worked at the Opera House Laundry and Gresham Hospital.

She married Dean Jacobson on March 24, 1963 and that same day they moved to Prineville, Ore. to build their life and raise a family. Carolyn worked cleaning new homes and at Coin Millwork.

Carolyn was always full of energy and enjoyed the outdoors, fishing the Rogue River, traveling to the beach, she loved camping, and spending time with her family.

She loved being her husband’s co-pilot on their Goldwing motorcycle, traveling to many destinations including Canada. Later when she could no longer travel on the Goldwing, they purchased a motorhome and continued to travel and enjoy their life together.

Carolyn was loved dearly by her husband Dean of 54 years. She is survived by three children a son, John (Joy) Jacobson. Two daughters, Deanna Jacobson, Debbie (Burt) Vezina. Sister, Linda (Don) Knight, Six grandchildren, Jennifer, John II, Leah, Nicole, Jacob and Sarah. Seven great grandchildren, Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Charles Hospice, Prineville, Ore. Through Juniper Ridge Funeral Home.
