Jack William Riley

Jack William Riley, 71, passed away peacefully at home on November 23, 2017 in Prineville, Ore. Jack was a longtime resident of Prineville, Ore. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday November 30, 2017 at 10:00 A.M at the Church of Christ in Prineville, with burial to follow at Juniper Haven Cemetery.

He was born on January 14, 1946 in Snow, Okla. To George and Ola Mae (Craddock) Riley. At the age of eight, the Riley family moved from Oklahoma and settled in Prineville, Ore.

Jack graduated from Crook County High School in 1964. He then married the love of his life Kathy McLean in June 1967. After graduation he worked as a timber faller until 1975 when he became a self-employed cattle rancher until the time of his passing. Jack was a dedicated, life-long member of the Prineville Church of Christ. Jack served on many community boards and organizations. Jack was a dedicated family man, caring and giving by nature.

Jack is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathy (McLean) Riley, sons James (Bridgette) Riley of Wilsonville, Ore. John (Leslie) Riley of Prineville, Ore. his sister George Ann Smith of Haines, Alaska. Brother Jerry (Nancy) Riley of Tulsa, Okla. Four granddaughters, Achaia, Natalee, Moriah and Joslin Riley, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jack is preceded in death by two infant sisters, Mary Jo and Vedis Louise Riley, his parents, George and Ola Mae Riley, and a brother-in-law Leo Smith.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Christ Mission Fund through Juniper Ridge Funeral Home.
