telRobert and his twin brother Roger were friends in Wendling OR in the 1940s. We had a lot of fun together and sometimes got into trouble in Miss Gravos' class. We attended the Bible Standard Church (corner church) in Wendling. Both were accomplished piano players--their mother saw to that. We kept in contact by ephone occasionally through the years. We reminisced about those days of our youth, hiking in the hills, harvesting hay for their Dad, Miss Gravos, what it was like living in a company town, etc. Both would look back and say that period in their lives was the best for them. And we saw each other a few times after they moved to California in about 1947 and back to Oregon. They both served the Lord and played piano in churches they attended. I'll miss telephone calls with Robert, but we'll meet again in heaven. John 3::16. Maybe there will be a piano for them there.
